Manufacturer information checked: 19 October 2026.
Possibly, but “works with smartphones” is not enough to make a buying decision. Before ordering, match the exact headset to its official app, your phone model, operating-system version, country and required licence. Then separate published compatibility from what has actually been demonstrated.
An app being available does not establish that it will install, pair with the headset, unlock your chosen feature or complete a session. Those are separate checks. No installation, pairing, feature or session tests were run for this guide. Foreverfly has not selected an exact product model, so this is a buying checklist, not confirmation that a proposed product supports your phone.
What the published requirements tell you
Muse’s compatibility article, dated 14 April 2026, lists iOS 16.1+, Android 8+ and Bluetooth LE 4.0 minimum. It flags unreliable compatibility with some modified Huawei/Xiaomi systems and excludes desktops, laptops, Kindle Fire and Windows phones for its app. Features depend on model and subscription. These are manufacturer requirements, not our test results. Read Muse’s compatibility requirements.
Macrotellect recommends BrainLink Tutorial for BrainLink Pro, Lite and SE, and a dedicated Tune app for Tune. Current minimum operating systems, app builds, UK storefront availability and tested phone lists were not established in the research reviewed for this guide. Read Macrotellect’s app guidance.
The Macrotellect app catalogue could not be fully verified during our review. It cannot fill those gaps.
Use these references as starting points, not interchangeable specifications. A requirement attached to one product must not be carried across to another.
Build an exact-match compatibility worksheet
Make one record for each headset-and-phone combination. “Unknown” is a useful answer: it identifies what must be resolved before you spend money.
- Headset model and revision: unknown—obtain exact identifiers.
- App name, publisher and build: unknown—verify all three.
- Phone model: enter the exact model, not just the brand.
- Operating-system version and build: enter the installed version and build.
- Country and storefront: enter your account’s actual storefront.
- Required licence: unknown—include the chosen feature.
- Manufacturer source and date: save the exact URL and document date.
- Documented support: unknown for this exact combination.
- Installation, pairing, desired-feature and completed-session results: not tested.
- Unresolved dependencies: list every missing confirmation.
This worksheet deliberately starts without a supported-product verdict. Duplicate it for each candidate and attach the relevant manufacturer reference. The examples above do not identify a complete, verified headset/app/phone combination.
Keep licence requirements separate from the app’s download price. Ask which functions are included, which need payment and whether access changes after an introductory period. Record the answer for your country and intended feature.
A practical checklist before ordering
1. Identify the hardware
Ask the seller for the exact model, product identifier and hardware revision. Match those identifiers to the manufacturer’s documentation. A similar product name or photograph is not sufficient evidence.
2. Identify the official app
Request its official store link and confirm the publisher. Record the version or build being assessed. If the seller cannot identify the intended app, leave compatibility unresolved rather than choosing a similarly named download.
3. Record your phone accurately
Copy the model and installed OS details from your phone’s settings. Check the published requirements against that actual configuration, not against an update you assume will be available.
4. Check region and access
Ask whether the app and intended feature are available through your account’s storefront. Confirm any account, internet and licence requirements. Do not treat availability in another country as confirmation for yours.
5. Ask for a relevant demonstration
Where a demonstration is offered, request the same headset revision, app build and phone configuration. Record any differences. A demonstration on another handset is useful context, but it does not establish success on yours.
6. Agree the route if setup fails
Before paying, obtain the seller’s written support and returns terms. Ask who investigates app, account and pairing problems, and what happens if your documented configuration cannot complete setup.
Keep five evidence levels separate
- Documented support: a source says the configuration is supported.
- Installation: the intended app was installed on the recorded phone.
- Pairing: the app connected to the recorded headset.
- Feature operation: the function you wanted was accessible and operated during the check.
- Session success: a documented session was completed under recorded conditions.
Do not collapse these into one “compatible” tick. Even a successful session would describe that observed setup, not guarantee future operation after software changes. Keep dates and versions alongside results.
Three common questions
Is meeting the minimum OS requirement enough?
No. Treat it as one requirement to check, alongside the exact hardware, app, phone, region and licence. It is not a completed compatibility assessment.
What if the app is missing or installation fails?
Pause and contact the manufacturer or seller through official support. Do not bypass device security or use unofficial downloads to force a purchase to work.
Can Foreverfly confirm a headset will work with my phone?
Not from this guide alone. Foreverfly has not selected an exact product model and has not performed the hands-on checks described here. Obtain a configuration-specific answer before ordering.
